About VMOS FET
The Field-Effect Transistor (FET) is the heart of the D98's incredible performance. Unlike traditional designs, a VMOS FET operates with characteristics remarkably similar to a vacuum tube, producing the pleasing even-order harmonics that sound so natural and warm to the human ear. However, it also offers the benefits of solid-state technology: immense driving power, lightning-fast transient response, low distortion, and a rock-solid grip on your speakers. This hybrid approach overcomes the limitations of older designs, giving you both delicate musicality and massive dynamic swings.
Transformers: A robust Triple Transformer design (one power, two output) provides a massive, stable, and isolated power reserve for effortless dynamics.
Capacitors: We use German WIMA MKP10 and Japanese ELNA SILMIC audio-grade capacitors for their natural, balanced sound and incredible detail retrieval.
Volume Control: An imported Japanese ALPS motorized potentiometer ensures smooth, precise, and noise-free volume adjustment.
USB Decoding: A Mountain View BP1048 chip handles USB audio, supporting a wide range of lossless formats for pristine digital playback.
Resistors: High-precision 5-band resistors are used throughout the audio path to ensure the lowest possible noise floor.

The D98 is more than the sum of its parts. Every unit is professionally calibrated and fine-tuned by the experienced ears of the JUED Hi-Fi audio team. Our rigorous quality control process involves multi-stage testing, component matching, and a lengthy burn-in period for every amplifier. 5. About Tubes
The D98's rich sonic tapestry is woven by a carefully curated set of nine premium-brand vacuum tubes:
Preamplifier Stage (x2): PSVANE ECC83 tubes, providing the warm, detailed, and harmonically rich foundation of the sound.
Preamp Voltage Regulation (x2): ECF80 tubes, ensuring the preamp circuit receives ultra-stable power for consistent performance.
Power Amp Regulation (x3): Two WY2 and one WY-3P tubes create a two-stage regulation circuit for the power stage, a rarity at this price point.
6. Connectivity:
Bluetooth: Qualcomm QCC3034 chip provides a rock-solid Bluetooth 5.0 connection with APTX-HD support for high-resolution wireless streaming.
USB: Play lossless files (FLAC, APE, WAV, WMA) directly from a USB drive or connect to your PC/MAC for a high-quality USB DAC input.
Digital Inputs: Optical and Coaxial inputs for connecting to your TV, CD Player, or other digital sources.
Analog Inputs: Standard RCA stereo inputs.
Outputs: 4Ω and 8Ω speaker terminals to match your loudspeakers, plus a dedicated Active Subwoofer Output.
7. Simple Bluetooth Pairing
1. Plug the included Bluetooth antenna into the back of the D98.
2. Turn the input selector knob on the front panel until the display shows "BLUE".
3. On your phone or tablet, go to Settings -> Bluetooth and search for devices.
4. Select "QCC3034" from the list and connect.
5. Once connected, open your favorite music app and enjoy high-quality wireless sound.
